An impromptu sing-a-long that broke out at my place this morning is what has inspired this post. Out of no where, the words for a decade defining song just came tumbling out of my mouth… Hold on little girl show me what he’s done to you ….Stand up little girl a broken heart can’t be that bad … and just like that it all came flooding back. Just. Like. That.

Mr Big is the hard rock Califorinan band that came out in the late ’80s and got everyone in the US of A and I’d guess nearly all of the modern world, closing their eyes and belting out an out of tune ” Wooooooo” at the end of every play of their smash hit song, “To Be With You” (the song went to Number #1 in 15 countries).This continued from 1991, when the song was first released to … well let’s face it, it’s still going. I did one this morning, except naturally my “Woooooooo” was in tune.
So in complete nostalgic memory of the first cassette single I ever bought, here they are, just one more time, because really, who doesn’t love a key change and a power chorus ?
Luckily I’m flying solo at the studio today, so this is going to be turned up loud. Although having said that, I’m going to bang this on next week and see how many people in the building I can get doing eyes closed fist pumps belting out “I’m the one that wants to be with you… Deep inside I hope you feel it too… FEEEL IT TOOOOOOOO”. I’m guessing a fair few. Well at least I will be anyway.
